If you love tomatoes like I do then you will love this easy to make tomato juice recipe. It makes lots of refreshing juice from just a few ingredients.
Basil and tomato are great friends and the first thing you will notice is the amazing aroma they both have going through the juicer.
The flavour profile is well balanced with some sweetness from the capsicums and pepper from the radishes. The texture is soft, creamy and easy to drink


  • 3 tomato
  • 2 capsicum (red)
  • 2 carrot
  • 4 radish
  • 1 handful basil, fresh leaves


  • Remove the green stems
  • Juice whole
  • Remove the green stems
  • Cut into halves or quarters to fit in the wide chute
  • Remove excess seeds (you can juice them)
  • Cut carrots lengthwise
  • Juice with skin on
  • Note: If larger carrots are used cut lengthwise again, into quarters
  • Cut off the leaves
  • Juice whole (if they are large cut into halves)
Remove the leaves from the main stalk


  • When using herbs add them to the juicer first. You will get more herb flavour coming through as the other ingredients get pressed.
  • You can put all the basil leaves into the chute first then add the tomatoes one at a time. Let each one press fully before adding the next one. Tomatoes are really juicy but super soft so they need some time to fully press.
  • Next add the capsicum pieces. They juice easily and will help push the tomato flesh through the machine.
  • Next add the radishes. They can go in whole.
  • Finish with the carrot halves adding them one at a time and again letting the press do it's job before adding more carrot into the "mouth" of the juicer.
  • Tip: Look for plump, heavy tomatoes with smooth skins. They should be free of bruises, blemishes, or deep cracks and never buy tomatoes from the fridge. Choose whatever size tomatoes as size has no bearing on the flavor, texture, or quality.
