Spring for me is about seeing the light green colour of the new growth that starts to show on the barren winter trees. When I look at the colour of this juice it has the same new growth colour.
The flavour is fresh and tangy with a pleasant sweet, peppery spice from the ginger. A beautiful fragrant aroma is something you also notice as soon as you start to take a sip.
Soooooo good one of my fav's!!!

Ingredients
  

  • 4 green apples
  • 1/2 cucumber
  • 3 stalks celery
  • 1 piece 2cm ginger

Preparation

Apples
  • Remove the stems and remove any stickers
  • Juice apples whole with skin and seeds.
  • Cut in half or quarters if too big to fit into the wide chute
Celery
  • Chop into small thumb size pieces across the stalks (this shortens the long stringy cellulose fibre and stops it wrapping around the press)
  • You can juice celery leaves, however it will add bitterness, so discard if you don’t like this
Cucumber
  • Cut into chunks to fit down the chute
  • Juice with skin on
Ginger
  • Cut off a 2cm thick piece
  • Cut into thin slices leaving the skin on

Instructions
 

  • A super quick and easy juice to make.
  • I like to start with the smart cap closed because I want to mix the apple and ginger flavours together first before adding the celery and cucumber.
  • Start by juicing the apples. Just throw them in whole and let the juicer press them through the machine.
  • Next add the ginger and let the flavours blend before opening the smart cap and releasing the juice.
  • Next add the celery pieces one handful at a time.
  • Finish with the cucumber chunks.
  • Tip: Pour over ice on a warm spring day for total rehydration and refreshment!
