The fruits in this juice will steadily provide your body with energy without the ‘sugar rush’ that you often get from many of the store-bought juices. You get lots of juice bursting from the pomegranate seeds as you add them to the cold press juicer.
Personally, I like to keep the white pith on the fruits to add a bitter flavour, which aids digestion and improves energy and endurance. But, if you don’t like the bitterness, then simply take off more of the white pith during preparation.

Ingredients

  • 1 Pomegranate
  • 3 Oranges
  • 1 Red Apple

Preparation

Pomegranate
  • Thinly slice off the outer red skin leaving as much white pith as possible
  • Cut into halves or quarters to fit in the wide chute
  • Juice the seeds and white flesh

Orange
  • Remove the orange skin leaving as much white pith as possible
  • Cut in half or quarters if too big to fit into the wide chute

Apple
  • Remove the stems and remove any stickers
  • Juice apples whole with skin and seeds
  • Cut in half or quarters if too big to fit into the wide chute

Instructions

  • Firstly, add the pomegranate, if it is small enough to fit into the wide chute, you can juice it whole once the outer red skin is removed.
  • Then, add the oranges letting the juicer press all the juice out before adding the next one.
  • Finish the juice with the apple.
  • Tip: The weight of the pomegranate signifies how juicy it is and the rind should be soft enough to scratch. If so, you know you have a ripe pomegranate.
