Mandarins are truly magical fruits. When combined with oranges and turmeric you get a supercharged drink of natural orange light which has powerful health benefits. This juice has a sweet taste with a hint of spice from the turmeric. If you can't find fresh turmeric,then substitute with some fresh ginger.

Ingredients
  

  • 8 Mandarins
  • 1 Orange
  • 1 3cm Turmeric

Preparation

Mandarins
  • Remove the mandarin skin
  • Juice them whole
 
Turmeric
  • Cut off a 3cm thick piece
  • Slice into thin slices
 
Orange
  • Remove the orange skin leaving as much white pith as possible
  • Cut in half or quarters if too big to fit into the wide chute

Instructions
 

  • I like to keep the cap closed on this juice to blend the ingredients.
  • Begin with juicing each of the mandarins one at a time then pop the slices of turmeric into the juicer 2 or 3 slices at a time.
  • Let the turmeric blend into the mandarin juice then open the cap and release the juice into the jug.
  • Finish with the whole orange and let it juice straight into the jug.
  • Tip: keep the peels and make a tea with fresh ginger and cardamom seeds.
