When I think about sunshine, I think about the immune boosting benefits of vitamin D, I feel the warmth of the sun’s rays on my skin, I see the yellow and orange colours of the midday and setting sun and experience joy and happiness as a smile washes over my face. This is what these 3 simple ingredients in this juice means to me.
Yellow from the pineapple, orange from the oranges and a gentle warmth from the
ginger. Pure liquid sunshine!!!

Ingredients
  

  • 4 Oranges
  • 2cm Ginger
  • 1/2 Pineapple

Preparation

Orange
  • Remove the orange skin leaving as much white pith as possible
  • Cut in half or quarters if too big to fit into the wide chute
 
Ginger
  • Cut off a 2cm thick piece
  • Cut into thin slices leaving the skin on
 
Pineapple
  • Slice off the outer skin
  • Cut into long thin strips to fit down the chute
  • Chop the core into small chunks

Instructions
 

  • Start making this juice with the oranges. Pop them in whole,one at a time and let the juicer squeeze and press them.
  • Next add the ginger.
  • Finish with the pineapple slice and the chopped-up pineapple core.
  • Tip: if you buy a whole pineapple use the bottom half. It is sweeter and less astringent, a more balanced flavoured part of the fruit.
