Lemon Ginger Hot Shot

This easy to make juice shot has a tangy citrus flavour that is also spicy, anti-inflammatory, Vitamin C-rich, immune system boosting & of course super tasty!
I recommend drinking 50ml once or twice a day.


  • 1 lemon
  • 1/4 cup fresh ginger
  • 1/4 cup fresh tumeric
  • 2 oranges


  • pinch cayenne pepper


  • Remove stickers and cut off any hard end points
  • Slice lemons into rounds with skin on to give more flavour and get more juice from each lemon.
  • Cut into thin slices leaving the skin on

  • Remove the orange skin leaving as much white pith as possible
  • Juice whole or cut in half if too big to fit into the wide chute


  • You want to get as much ginger and turmeric flavour into this juice so I start with the ginger slices. Make sure the thickness of the ginger when sliced is no more than a thumbs width.
  • Next add the turmeric slices followed by the peeled whole oranges one at a time letting the juicer fully press each orange before adding the next one.
  • Finish with the lemon slices as they will help push everything through the press
  • Garnish with a pinch of ground cayenne pepper if using.
