This juice is very refreshing and hydrating on a hot day.Pineapple and watermelon are both very juicy and have that sweet tropical flavour. I put some lemon and grapefruit in to balance the sweetness.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 pineapple
  • 1/8 watermelon
  • 1 grapefruit
  • 1/2 lemon

Preparation

Pineapple
  • Cut the top off the pineapple and cut into half
  • Thinly slice the outer skin leaving most of the yellow flesh intact
  • Cut the flesh in long strips about two finger width
  • Cut the core from the middle strips and dice in small cubes
Watermelon
  • 1/8 of a watermelon is half of the 1/4 shown in image
  • Thinly slice the outer green skin leaving most of the white flesh intact
  • Cut the melon in slices about two fingers width
  • Cut the slices into pieces to fit in the large chute
Grapefruit
  • Remove the outer skin keeping as much white pith as possible
  • Cut into halves or quarters to fit in the wide chute
Lemon
  • Remove stickers and cut off any hard end points
  • Slice lemons into rounds with skin on to give more flavour and get more juice from each lemon.

Instructions

  • Start with juicing the soft watermelon pieces first. Take your time letting the machine press the flesh through.
  • Next add the grapefruit pieces one at a time.
  • Add the pineapple strips on at a time followed by the pineapple core chucks.
  • Finish with the lemon slices.
