This juice has a good balance of veggies and fruits making it a perfect juice for lunchtime. The flavour has a nice sweet balanced with clean texture and a touch of spice from the ginger.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 stalks Celery
  • 2 Red Apples
  • 1 2 cm piece Ginger
  • 1 Sweet Potato
  • 2 Carrots
  • 1 Orange

Preparation

Celery
  • Chop into small thumb size pieces across the stalks (this shortens the long stringy cellulose fibre)
  • You can juice celery leaves, however it will add bitterness, so discard if you don’t like it
 
Apples
  • Remove the stems and remove any stickers
  • Juice apples whole with skin and seeds.
  • Cut in half or quarters if too big to fit into the wide chute.
 
Ginger
  • Cut off a 2cm thick piece
  • Cut into thin slices leaving the skin on
 
Sweet Potato
  • Cut in half then into thin slices
  • Juice with the skin on
 
Carrots
  • Cut carrots lengthwise
  • If larger carrots are used cut lengthwise again, into quarters
 
Oranges
  • Remove the orange skin leaving as much white pith as possible
  • Juice whole or cut in half if too big to fit into the wide chute

Instructions
 

  • Start with the celery pieces then juice the apples.
  • Next juice the ginger pieces.
  • Add the sweet potato slices 3-4 at a time letting the juicer crunch and press before adding the next lot.
  • After the sweet potato has finished juicing add the carrot slices one at a time. Again, let the juicer press each carrot slice before adding the next piece.
  • Finish the juice with the orange to push through all the beautiful carrot and sweet potato juice.
  • Tip: make sure you wash the sweet potato before juicing as its good to keep the skin on for more nutrients.
