This recipe is a simplified version of a healing recipe I got from one of my mentors, Cowboy Don Tolman. The word C.A.B.A.L.A represents the ingredients: Carrot, Apple, Beetroot, Apple, Lemon, Apple.
It is a dense, nutrient packed juice that contains all the colours of the rainbow (especially if you use red, green and yellow apples) and the deep earthy taste will satisfy your body on all levels.
Cabala Juice is sometimes used as a mono-juice cleanse when doing an extended juice fast. It is reccommended to drink a minimum of 2 litre of Cabala Juice per day and no maximum when cleansing.

Ingredients
  

  • 12 Carrots
  • 1 Green Apple
  • 1 Golden Delicious Apple
  • 1 Red Apple
  • 1/2 Beetroot
  • 1/2 Lemon

Preparation

Carrots
  • Cut carrots lengthwise once
  • If larger carrots are used cut again lengthwise
 
Apples
  • Remove the stems and remove any stickers
  • Juice apples whole with skin and seeds
  • Cut in half or quarters if too big to fit into the wide chute
 
Beetroot
  • Cut in half and then into quarters
  • Slice each half into thin slices to make it easier to press
  • Juice with skin on (you can also juice the leaves and stems)
Lemon
  • Remove stickers and cut off any hard end points
  • Slice lemons into rounds with skin on to give more flavour and get more juice from each lemon

EQUIPMENT

Instructions
 

  • Prepare all ingredients ready for juicing
  • Firstly, juice the carrots slowly one at a time. Tip: To keep the carrot juice flowing, let the machine eat each carrot before adding the next.
  • Secondly, juice the apples whole (if they are small enough to fit in the chute). Yellow apple first (they are generally the softest), then red followed by green.
  • Next juice the beetroot, go slowly adding a few slices at a time. Lastly, juice the slices of lemon.

Chef Tip:

  • If you want more beetroot flavour juice the beetroot first as the rest of the ingredients will pick up more of the beetroot as you juice them. If you want less beetroot flavour juice them at the end.
