The raw ingredients in this juice are pure medicine for the lungs. Juicing these ingredients, makes it easy to drink a raw head of broccoli and red potato, which you might not normally sit down and eat - this is how food becomes medicine!
This juice taste sweet and peppery with a creamy texture.

  • 1 head broccoli
  • 2 red radishes
  • 1 red potato
  • 1 piece turmeric
  • 6 red apples

  • Cut off the stem first
  • Cut the stem into halves lengthwise
  • Break or cut the florets up into small chunks to fit in the wide chute
  • Remove the leaves
  • Cut in half
  • Juice with skin on
  • Cut into thins slices
  • Juice with skin on
  • Cut off a 5cm thick piece
  • Slice into thin slices
  • Remove the stems and remove any stickers
  • Juice apples whole with skin and seeds
  • Cut in half or quarters if too big to fit into the wide chute

  • Start with the cap closed on the juicer. This helps blend the first few ingredients together for more flavour.
  • First add the broccoli florets, then the stems. You don’t get lots of juice, but you get lots of flavour.
  • Then, add the radishes, red potato slices (one at a time) and then the turmeric. (you won’t get a lot of juice yet, just blending all the nutrients together).
  • Open the cap and let the juice out before finishing with the red apples.
  • Tip: Stored potatoes do not retain as much vitamin C as freshly harvested potatoes. Buy them as fresh as you can from a local market grower, or try growing your own.

The light or the colour of fruits and vegetables can help us heal emotionally (think colour therapy) and the lessons the fruits, vegetables and leafy greens learn when growing get passed onto us, to help us, when we consume them.
