This is my ‘goto’ juice recipe. It's simple, great for detoxing and it tastes amazing! I always have apples, lemons and ginger on hand at home so it’s the type of juice you can always make even if you don’t think you have any ingredients!
It is sweet, sour and tangy with just a hint of spice from the ginger.

Ingredients
  

  • 5 Green Apples
  • 1 2 cm piece Ginger
  • 1/2 Lemon

Preparation

Apple
  • Remove the stems and remove any stickers
  • Juice apples whole with skin and seeds
  • Cut in half or quarters if too big to fit into the wide chute
 
Ginger
  • Cut off a 2cm thick piece
  • Cut into thin slices leaving the skin on
 
Lemon
  • Remove stickers and cut off any hard end points
  • Slice lemons into rounds with skin on to give more flavour and get more juice from each lemon

Instructions
 

  • Start with the apples, adding them to the chute one at a time.
  • I add the ginger after the first two apples as I find it really balances the flavour, but you can add it whenever you like depending on how much you love ginger (or not!).
  • Finish with the slices of lemon.
  • Tip: if you love ginger like I do put an extra serve in this juice as it really goes well with the apples and lemons. You can use red apples if you like it sweeter.
